Antiques to Now - It's Only Here

Beth Kushnick And The Good Fight

August 27, 2019

“Using Newel Props antiques in ways never imagined,” is what Beth Kushnick, the set decorator of The Good Fight, said after she put together the set for Roland Blum’s Office / Bedroom.

Beth and her team came to Newel Props to shop for this set by visiting our Long Island City location.  As I guided them through the nooks and crannies of the warehouse, they snapped photos of pieces. I could see their excitement as they put together the set for this new character, Roland Blum. They shared details about the character and we would go searching for another piece for his office / bedroom.  I wondered how each piece would work in the final set.  Their taste was impeccable.  Each piece they selected was special and unique.

Walking among the props can, and will, inspire you.

I saw images of the set when Beth posted them on @BAKHomeDecor, her Instagram account. I loved seeing our English Regency style recamier paired with a French Victorian Ebony and Bronze Center Table. And to add more drama,  she mixed a pair of Swedish Neoclassical parcel gilt armchairs, Asian Chinese Style Red Lacquered Rectangular Coffee Table and Contemporary Black Satin Cabinet to the room. This is why Newel Props’ collection is like no other. Our inventory crosses every decade and every style.

Check out The Good Fight, which now airs on Sunday nights on CBS. It was previously exclusively available on their online platform, CBS All Access.

You are in for a treat when you get to Season 3, Episode 2, “The One Inspired by Roy Cohn”!

Thank you, Beth Kushnick and The Good Fight, for sharing your images and vision.
